Judged an AKC Obedience match last night and one of the AKC instructors I did some Utility work with recommended I look up these videos. Some really good ideas for rear end awareness and heel position.

I've had the 'pleasure' of hosting Celeste for a seminar at the local training club...and I will never do it again.

People paid $200 for a working spot for a 2 day seminar and most of them worked their dogs for MAYBE 20 minutes total each day. If you want to hear stories of her success at Crufts or anywhere else, by all means, attend a seminar - but most of us were hoping to gain information on how to train our dogs to even a fraction of her level of success - not hear about her perfect 200 obedience scores or watch her dogs execute certain behaviors - we wanted her to help us with our dogs, and it didn't happen.

I polled the attendees after the seminar and many stated they would not recommend her seminars, nor would they attend another one, even if it was free.

That said, she's a brilliant INSTRUCTOR - attend almost any obedience trial in New England and almost immediately you know her students - see people doing the "nose bridge" and 'bouncey bounce' all over the place!

Celeste explains it in the beginning of her video. I see it as just another way to teach the dog to pivot and move it's rear (rear end awareness) which is a huge part of correct heeling. I usually teach rear end awareness by teaching the dog to turn off leash pressure but this just seemed like something interesting to try.
