Just wanted to give mention that the Gerald P Murphy Cancer Foundation study using rottweilers that are 13 yrs and over has a mention in this months AARP magazine.

I did see a piece on this study on TV a few weeks ago as well. I am happy that my Kia lived to 14 and her info is part of the study.

Did you do anything special with her to get her to live to 14? From what I've always heard, it seems that no one can find a common denominator as a reason some live long and some don't. I wish them luck. If they find out what causes cancer in dogs, maybe they can fix it in humans too.

We were lucky to have her to 14. Nothing was done special or different for her. Evie & Manson Johnson are who got us involved with the study. They can tell you a lot more about it.
